Newly sober writer Jemima Kirke, whose career has stalled, strikes up an affair with a doctor-turned-writer Jamie Dornan, hailed for a wartime memoir. Her sister Lola Kirke, a masseuse dating aging rock star Ben Mendelsohn, is drawn to a new religious zeal — and to Billy Crystal, an older, politically engaged rabbi.
