The Power of Witness Theater

AFMDA - Join Us and Help Save Lives in Israel

Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale (CSAIR) will commemorate Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, the pogrom that is viewed as the beginning of the Holocaust in Germany, with a program “The Power of Witness Theater: Processing Trauma Through Intergenerational Bonds” on Thursday November 8 at 7:30 PM.

Witness Theater is an innovative program in which Holocaust survivors and high school students work together for eight months to elicit, expose, and memorialize moving stories of survival.

Join us as for services and then a program where representatives from Selfhelp Community Services Holocaust Survivor Program and teens discuss the impact of this remarkable drama therapy program.

Coordinated by Adeena Horowitz, LMSW. Administrative Director, Nazi Victim Services Program Selfhelp Community Services Inc.

For more information on this program – which is free and open to all – as well as other adult education opportunities at CSAIR, call the Synagogue office at 718-543-8400 or visit www.csair.org.

CSAIR is located at 475 West 250th Street at the Henry Hudson Parkway.
