Beginning in the earliest days of his presidency, President Trump has taken hateful and un-American steps to stop Muslims from entering the United States — shutting down entry from particular countries, and denying access to refugees from all over the world. Although this has been challenged successfully in court, the targeting continues.

As American Jews, we know exactly how dangerous it can be when a group is targeted because of their religious or ethnic background. As we watch history repeat itself, we will not stand idly by.

We join in support of our Muslim allies, neighbors, and friends — and the hundreds of thousands of refugees around the world who are being denied access to safety.

On October 18, the day that the Muslim Ban 3.0 goes into effect, HIAS (formerly the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) and Bend the Arc Jewish Action are co-convening a Jewish communal meet-up in advance of the #NoMuslimBanEver March happening that day in Washington, D.C.

Those interested in coming from New York City can join the bus from NYC heading to the Jewish meet-up and the march itself. We will depart bright and early at 5:45 AM from the UWS in Manhattan (exact location TBD) and expect to be back in NYC by 8:00 PM.
