Women's Initiative for Jewish Studies

Women’s Initiative for Jewish Studies (WIJS) is a program with the mission of introducing outstanding women Jewish studies scholars to the Westchester community.  This well attended program features speakers from both the United States and Israel through a series of lectures held throughout the year at Young Israel of New Rochelle, 1149 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY.  All lectures are free of charge and open to both women and men.

We extend a warm welcome to the Westchester (and beyond) communities to join in this venture of advancing Jewish scholarship in our area.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. For additional information or to be added to our mailing list, please email wijs@yinr.org.
