Uri Gurvich

Primary tabs

Based in NYC for the past decade, Israeli saxophonist/composer Uri Gurvich was hailed as "a major new voice in jazz" (All Music Guide) and his music has been described as "transcending borders" (LA Times). Tonight his trio presents globally influenced work from his latest album, "Kinship," as well as new work.

With Ed Perez on bass and Francisco Mela on drums.

"Jazz is an indigenous American art form, but it is also a thoroughly global enterprise. And few of the music's practitioners embody its universality more completely than saxophonist Uri Gurvich." — Downbeat
