"Shtisel": Behind the Scenes of the Unorthodox Drama

(Jun. 11 & 12) — A sensitive, loving portrayal of a multi-generational family, the breakout Israeli hit television show "Shtisel" lifts the veil on family life in the Orthodox community, long hidden by its insularity.

We meet the tough yet tender patriarch of the family, haunted by the loss of his beloved wife; his mother, addicted to soap operas; his daughter, desperate to hide her husband’s infidelity; and his son, pulled between passion for art and his allegiance to his faith and community.

Join us to watch clips from the series and meet cast members and one of the creators of this Israeli international sensation.

Michael Aloni: Akiva (Kive) Shtisel

Doval'e Glickman: Shulem Shtisel
