There's no doubt that the Off-White x Air Jordan 4 "Sail" is one of the most coveted creps of 2020. With a release expected next month on July 25th, Virgil Abloh is now giving you the chance to buy a one-of-a-kind pair that's signed by the man himself. Teaming up with music collective Deviation, all proceeds will go towards The Black Curriculum and Inquest UK.
Taking the Jumpman silhouette to the next level, the "Sail" is dipped in a clean cream hue and decked out in the Off-White designer's deconstructed aesthetic. From the see-through rubberised elements to the quoted text along the laces and midsole, the Air Jordan 4 has also been given a full material upgrade as well.
Of course, it wouldn't be an Off-White x Nike collab without the iconic zip tie that's also been painted in a complementary hue.
This fundraiser comes a few weeks after Abloh received some backlash from his $50 donation as well as comments regarding retailers and looters. While these have since been clarified, the Louis Vuitton Menswear Designer is going one step further to fight against racial injustices.
If you're interested in bidding then you're going to need some pretty deep pockets. Set to end on Thursday this week, the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 4 "Sail" auction is currently at £65,100, and this is expected to go much higher very soon. Let us know what you think of this initiative, and while you're here, Nike recently sent an unreleased Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "MCA" to an athlete!
