While hype for the adidas NMD R1 has very obviously dropped since its debut in 2016, it’s still one hell of a lifestyle sneaker. Made for those who love to travel, hence the name Nomad, the shoe has seen some high heat collaborations over the past three years, and the atmos x adidas NMD R1 ‘G-SNK’ is definitely one of them.

Made with the help of the Japanese streetwear retailer, the ‘G-SNK’ will be available in two distinct colour schemes. The first one will feature an earthy brown hue while the second one is painted in a striking green shade. This is overlaid atop a snakeskin pattern that’s actually taken from their Superstar 80s ‘G-SNK’ 9 collaboration that launched back in 2014. Giant adidas branding graces the vamp, complete with their “The Brand With The 3 Stripes” slogan in multiple languages.

EVA plugs make their way to the lateral and medial sides for extra support, and a full length Boost midsole offers comfort and cushioning that’s groundbreaking. This is lined with a black rubber outsole for durable traction with every step.

If you want the atmos x adidas NMD R1 ‘G-SNK’ in your collection then you’re going to need pretty deep pockets and plenty of connections. Set to drop exclusively at atmoscon on October 5th, you’d better start making friends overseas if you want to cop!
