Liana Finck: "Excuse Me" w/ Emily Flake

A razor-sharp collection from Liana Finck ("A Bintel Brief"), the acclaimed New Yorker cartoonist and Instagram sensation whom Vulture recently called “a remarkable young talent.”

"Excuse Me" assembles more than 500 of Finck's most loved cartoons from Instagram and The New Yorker over the past few years, in such distinctive chapters as: "Love & Dating"; "Gender & Other Politics"; "Animals"; "Art & Myth-Making"; "Strangeness, Shyness, Sadness"; and "Notes to Self."

Finck is the author of "Passing for Human," a contributor to the forthcoming "How Yiddish Changed America and How America Changed Yiddish," and a recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship and a Six Points Fellowship for Emerging Jewish Artists. She has had artist residencies with MacDowell Colony, Yaddo and other prestigious art organizations.

Finck appears in conversation with Emily Flake, a cartoonist, writer, performer and illustrator living in Brooklyn. Flake's work appears regularly in the New Yorker, the Nib, the American Bystander and numerous other publications.
