LABA: A Laboratory for Jewish Culture at the 14th Street Y is the premiere incubator for Jewish art and culture inspired by classic Jewish texts. Each year, LABA fellows study text in a non-religious, open-minded setting based on a theme-this year, LIFE + DEATH. Fellows create art, literature, music and theater that explores the universal themes they encounter through their engagement with Jewish thought.

LABAlive II is the second 2019 celebration of groundbreaking, genre breaking, and heartbreaking Jewish culture based on the theme of LIFE + DEATH. LABAlive II is an evening of music, performance, text and wine.
