Make sure to get your annual ice skating in… in Jerusalem?! Indeed, you read it right! As has quickly become tradition, an ice skating rink will be open for seven weeks in Jerusalem. This year, the rink will be indoors at the First Station, from March 3 until April 22, 2014. The rink is 600 square meters. There will be cute sleds in the shape of seals that can be used for very small children with adult supervision. And bigger children can skate while pushing penguin-shaped skating aids.

This seder is a collaboration between Ohel Ayalah and the Windsor Terrace Y. It will be led by Rabbi Moishe Steigmann, an experienced Jewish educator, who will create a traditional yet contemporary seder, one that will meet the needs of both adults and children. This seder will aim to satisfy those who have been going to seders all their lives and also those for whom the seder is new. Children will be able to spend time at the table with their parents and also take a “break” from the seder in a nearby space, and will be supervised by adult staff.
