"Crossing Delancey"

AFMDA - Join Us and Help Save Lives in Israel

(Jul. 13 & 18) — The 1988 classic film, in which Upper West Side bookseller Amy Irving insists she’s contented with her career and not-yet-divorced boyfriend Jeroen Krabbé. But regardless, her bubbe Reizl Bozyk (the Yiddish theater star) has matchmaker Sylvia Miles fix her up with Lower East Side pickle seller Peter Riegert. Musician Suzzy Roche plays Irving’s buddy, and harmonizes on the soundtrack with her sister act The Roches.

Wednesday, July 18, 6:20pm, with director Joan Micklin Silver in person.
