"The Cakemaker"

Gay German baker Thomas begins an affair with Oren, a traveling Israeli businessman in a heterosexual marriage, only to lose his new lover in a tragic car accident. A grieving Thomas travels to Jerusalem where under a false identity he befriends Oren’s widow Anat and begins working in her café — but his deception threatens their burgeoning connection. A festival hit across the globe, "The Cakemaker" is a deeply moving exploration of the power of food, family, faith, and desire.
