The Blue Dahlia (LAMC Showcase)

Dahlia Dumont grew up in Brooklyn and soaked up all of the music around her — from the Middle Eastern airs in her home to the NYC dive bars and Latin bistros. After years of living between Senegal and France, Dahlia's influences gave birth to her project "Blue Dahlia." Lyrics in French and English, Tex-Mex and French accordion, klezmer violin, horns, folkloric percussion — a sound that is both contemporary and traditional, exotic and familiar, urban and intimate; an organic sound with an electric energy.

With Dahlia Dumont - vocals, ukulele, percussion; George Saenz - accordion, trombone; Zoë Aqua - violin; Diego Cebollero - guitar; Yoshiki Yamada - double bass; and Joshua Castillo - drums.
