Avi Rothbard Quartet

(Jul. 11 & 12) — Jazz guitarist Avi Rothbard was born in kibbutz Gan Schmuel in the country side of Israel, near the Triangle, an area of several Arab and Jewish villages. He played the mandolin before settling on the guitar and attended the acclaimed Berklee School of Music in Boston, where he received the The Jimi Hendriz Award for excellence on guitar. In New York he's led his bands in clubs such as Saint Nicks, Dizzy's Coca Cola Club, Rose Hall, Lenox Lounge, Showman's, Fat Cat,, Smalls, Sweet Rhythm, Minton's Playhouse and Smoke. 

Tonight Rothbard appears with Mike Karn on bass, Jeremy Manasia on piano and Darrell Green on drums.
