"The Abraham Play" (Twin Cities 2015)

Primary tabs

(May 2-17) — Hoping for a quick windfall of inheritance, Abe, a Wall Street stock jock, returns to the office of his recently deceased, estranged father searching for a lost deed. Among the piles of papers strewn about the office he doesn’t find the deed. Instead he finds a scavenger hunt his father has left behind for him — and the audience holds the clues.

Running as part of The In[heir]itance Project's The Genesis Plays, a national theater series created to put communities in conversation with stories from the Torah. This festival is a completion of that cycle — 5 plays made in different cities around the United States, performed in NYC for the very first time over 3 weeks at the 14th Street Y, all inspired by stories from 1 book. Conceived by Jon Adam Ross and directed by Chantal Pavageaux.

With generous support from The Covenant Foundation. In Association with Downtown Jewish Life.
