One day Oliver, a 24-year-old American graduate student arrives to be an intern to Elio's professor father. Elio and Oliver connect on several levels, including their Jewishness, and amid the sun-drenched splendor of the setting, discover the heady beauty of awakening desire that will alter their lives forever.
